Cheers for Chairs after campaign pays off
Many have felt a certain warm ambience in St Mary’s Priory Church, Chepstow, over the past few weeks. This could be due to the 300 new chairs, with their soft red coverings, which have been installed.
All this has been made possible by grants and fund-raising over the past few years. Grants came from Awards for all Wales, Monmouthshire County Council’s community and development scheme, the Oakdale Trust and the Welsh Churches Fund. The sale of the old wooden chairs, the Buy a Chair campaign, and donations from individuals also helped. Many thanks to everyone who has helped to make this project possible.
