Newly qualified bell ringers at
All Saints, Llanfrechfa
Ryan Bray, Thomas Davies, Luke Humphries, and Alex Williams showed an interest in ringing the bells at Llanfrechfa just over a year ago whilst attending Sunday School. They originally learnt to ring at Caerleon and have recently transferred to Llanfrechfa church where they practice on a Wednesday evening. They have been encouraged to ring every Sunday morning with other adults and youngsters.
Ryan and Luke were confirmed by Bishop Dominic on the 7th June and were determined to ring the bells prior to the service. Ryan is especially keen to ring at his sister’s wedding in December.
They recently received badges from the Area Dean, Canon Jennifer Mole, together with youngsters Bronwen and Ellen Jug who have been ringing for some time.
We hope that these youngsters will encourage adults to come and learn to ring. We are always looking for new members to join the band who ring the bells for most Sunday services at Llanfrechfa.
