Stitches of Love - Usk
Over 130 people in the Highveld will soon be receiving a new hand-knit made by parishioners, their families and friends at St. Mary’s, Usk - even our Vicar, Father Julian, tried a stitch or two at the Knitathon held in March.
Our project ended in an exhibition in May. The costs towards transporting the items to South Africa have come from an anonymous donor, plus the takings from the raffle held at the St Mary’s Wives Group Coffee Morning. Many have rediscovered their knitting skills while all agree that this has been a worthwhile fun-raising as well as a fund-raising exercise. Many thanks to all involved, especially to
