Diocesan Conference - What Happened?
The Bishop presented Archdeacon Ken with our farewell gift

Thank you for the very generous gift that Bishop Dominic presented to me at the Diocesan Conference. It was extremely kind of you, and I am grateful to everyone who contributed. The lovespoon, incorporating the Celtic cross as well as the heart, will have special significance for us. With the cheque, Christine and I shall be able to buy gifts for our bungalow and garden that will remind us of you.
The welcome that you gave me at the Conference was so warm that I felt humbled by it. I enjoyed the opportunity to meet some of you at Cwmbran, but regret that there were others with whom I was unable to talk, as the sand of time ran out for me.
While we have chosen to move to Pembrokeshire in retirement, I assure you that I have left part of my heart with you in Monmouth diocese, where I have come to know and grown to love so many people. I shall continue to pray for you, and trust that through your love, faith and joy, God will continue to grow His Kingdom in the valleys, city, towns and countryside of the diocese.
With my deep appreciation,
Ken
