Len's Plaque
This plaque would have been presented to Len Vowles, organist of St George's Church, in recognition of his faithful service to both St George's Church and the people of Tredegar.
Sadly Len died on October 24th, before the presentation could be made, so the plaque was presented to his wife, Babs Vowles, by the Town Mayor, Councillor Malcolm Cross.
The parishioners and clergy of St George's Church were delighted to hear that Len had been recognised and honoured by the Town Council in Tredegar.
Len was a dear friend and an exceptionally talented organist. He had already been given the Archbishop's Award for Church Music, but his friends in Tredegar are sure that he would have been delighted to know that the people of his home town had recognised his dedication and talent.
