Building bridges between church and community

Taking the Gospel message of love and care to people who sometimes get missed.

In Tredegar, we truly believe that the Good News is for all people. In the society where we live and minister, the need to go outside our church building becomes more and more evident.

One of our aims is to make everyone feel valued and treasured. Even though they may now be cared for by someone else, they are not forgotten in our church community.

Our Curate and Lay Team visit people in their own homes and in Residential or Nursing Homes, taking the Sacrament to people where they are. We feel loved and supported by the people we minister to and gain a huge sense of fulfilment in return for the ministry we offer.

This month, with Fr Mark and our choir, we celebrated with Emily on her 100th birthday. We had a service of thanksgiving for life at Woffington Nursing Home and for the many and varied opportunities we are given to live the Gospel of Christ.
