Chairs in the chancel
The chancel and parts of the nave of St Stephen and St Tathan Church, Caerwent, have been fitted out with comfortable, moveable chairs. The lighting and heating system have also been upgraded. The Bishop presided at the Eucharist on Sunday 22nd April when the group of parishes including Shirenewton, Llanvair Discoed and Newchurch came together for the re-dedication service. The service finished off with a rousing chorus from the children of the Caerwent Sunday Club. Thanks are due to those who made generous donations towards the improvements, including those who donated seats in memory of loved ones.
