The Mothers Union
The Mothers' Union was founded in 1876 by Mary Sumner. It quickly developed from a meeting for local mothers in her sitting room to an organisation which spans the world.
The Head Offices are in Westminster. The World President is Rosemay Kempsall, our Welsh Provincial President is Mary Salmon and the Diocesan PResident is Kathleen Palmer.
The work of the MU is divided onto four units.
Membership is open to everyone, men and women, married, single or divorced, who have been baptised in the name of the Trinity and who accept the aims and objectives.
