Who can Apply for a faculty?
Usually it is the incumbent and churchwardens who apply for the facullty but it does not have to be. Some PCCs have a buildings officer or a designated church member to deal with the administration of faculty applications.
Anyone with a legitimate interest can apply for a faculty and this is sometimes someone raising a matter outside the PCC (usually to do with memorials and gifts). These issues can be sensitive and early consultation with the DAC is advisable. Their application must be accompanied by a resolution giving the PCC's view on the matter.
Everyone who is listed as a petitioner must sign the petition form and the Form 2.
