Asst Curate - Llantwit Major

Llantwit Major ("…abundantly the most beautiful church in Wales," according to John Wesley) has been a centre of Christian worship and mission for over 1500 years.

Could you play an active part in its unfolding story?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Curate to join this well established and enthusiastic Rectorial Benefice Team. Llantwit Major is an historic market town in the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan fifteen miles west of the vibrant city of Cardiff. The Benefice comprises of nine parishes served by a Rector, Team Vicar, NSM Priest, four Readers and associated lay administrative and pastoral workers. The Curate's house is located in the village of Wick in the western section of the Benefice which has a well motivated congregation and very close links with its Church School. This post offers an excellent ongoing training opportunity to gain a wide range of ministerial experience in terms of diversity in worship, children's work and schools and mission/pastoral care to communities within both agricultural and industrial settings. The Benefice is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic team member who is comfortable with a variety of liturgical styles and keen to share their ideas and gifts to enhance the mission of the church within our communities. The post would appeal especially to those with an interest in Celtic Spirituality, Fresh Expressions and Children/Youth ministry.

This post is subject to an enhanced CRB disclosure.
