ABOUT exploring faith
Exploring Faith is an education for Discipleship Course, for people to learn more about their faith as well training for accredited ministries.
These groups are for enquiring Christians who want to learn more about their faith. They meet in everyday places like people’s homes or community halls. Each group contains up to a dozen people. They come together once a week to discuss a few chapters from a set text. Each group has a facilitator. This person is not a teacher – part of the idea of Exploring Faith is that group members learn from one another and share their different experiences. Once a term all Exploring Faith members come together for a Saturday School.
Exploring Faith is inexpensive: there is just a small cost for the termly study books.
New Exploring Faith groups are being set up all the time. It is very easy to set up a course for your community; Exploring Faith follows a syllabus. The syllabus is broken down into three annual cycles. Each module involves set texts and further reading suggestions are provided in bibliographies. Some of these books may be available in your community, for example from your minister. Other books can be obtained through local libraries or bought second-hand over the internet. There are more substantial reading resources in Bangor itself. St Seiriol Centre has its own borrowing library housed in the Anglican Chaplaincy to Bangor University. Exploring Faith members may also use books belonging to the University itself

Exploring Faith courses aim to meet where you are. There are currently 13 groups which meet across North West Wales, involving over 60 people.
