Items of Interest

'Church consists of a continuous nave and chancel with north and south porches. Structure much restored. The roof, of late 15th century, consists of six arch-braced collar-beam trusses with decorated windbraces.

The 17th century pew timbers have been used to panel the walls. A stone, set up against the inside of the west wall of the church, is possibly 12th century and bears an inscription, which is translated as 'The footprint of Denyric is affixed on top of the stone and he himself is bound (by his vow made) before he set out on a journey.' A date stone of 1636 to the east of the north porch probably indicates a restoration of the church at that date. The small tub shaped font is dated 1689. Major restoration work took place in 1899.

The churchyard is curvilinear in form with a stone-walled boundary.
