Earliest part (nave) 12th century. Chancel rebuilt 15th or early 16th century. North vestry - modern. South porch - modern.
Built in 1865 for £720 it replaced the old church at Llanbadrig as the Parish Church. The architect was Henry Kennedy of Bangor and it was built of Anglesey limestone with Caernarfonshire slating in the first pointed or Early English style.
