Family tomb of the Tudors (relatives of Henry VII / VIII).
Lightly restored in 1848 the chancel and nave are c.1400. The north chapel and south porch were added in the early 15th century.
Some stones, built into the walls, have chevrons which indicate that there was an earlier 6th century church on the site. Heraldic shields link the church to the Tudor family.
The alabaster tomb, which may have been brought from the Priory of Llan-faes, are of two mediaeval members of the Tudor family - Gronw Fychan ap Tudur ap Gronw and his wife (c. 1385), ancestors of Henry Tudor (Henry VII).
