This mediaeval church retains some of the early detail which includes a fine and rare seven bay rood screen and carved benchends.
Records show that this church has had rectors since 1395. The surviving arcade can be dated as late 16th century. Some rebulding took place during the 16th century and the chancel was ceiled when the building was altered in the 18th century. The gabled bell-cote contains one bell which is inscribed RAX 1683.
