Bell-cote dated 1705. Mediaeval roof trusses. Glass dated 1500. Sanctuary dated 1679. Gravestone dated 1688.

The first church was erected on the site at the end of the 13th century. There may have been a much earlier religious foundation on the site dedicated to a Celtic saint, possibly Dunawd. Dedications to Catherine only appear in England after the Norman conquest and are rare in Wales. In about 1500 St. Catherine's Church was increased to twice its former size by the addition of a northern aisle. Major restoration work was done in 1872.

The two east windows are thought to be the original 1500 openings. The larger north window in the north aisle contains some glass dated as 1500.

The organ was built by Hill & Son, London in 1859 and is considered to be a fine example of his work.

In 1992 the Bishop Gwilym Room was added.
