Victorian woodwork. William Hill organ. Kempe Window.

A Tractarian Church. A striking building with a tall spire, built in 1864, by C. & J. Shaw of Saddleworth. Built at Mr Platt's expense and endowed by Richard Luck and others, it was consecrated by the Lord Bishop of Bangor on 5th August 1864. It has a wrought iron screen, a gift from Col. Platt in August 1894, in memory of his son, drowned in India in 1893, and much Victorian woodwork especially in the Platt pews, also an ornate font and cover. The organ, built by William Hill & Son of London in 1902, is one of the finest in North Wales. There are also several stained glass windows, including two of 1900 & 1905 made by the famous stained glass artist Kempe.
