Stained glass. The 'Angel' carving.

The cornerstone was laid in 1865 and consecrated in 1874. The tower and church house followed in 1882, with a memorial chapel in 1924.

The building is Neo-Gothic in style and was designed by George Felton, the architect to the Mostyn Estates.

There are some fine examples of stained glass in the sanctuary, chapel and north and south transepts.

Beautiful carved angels can be found in the stone corbels around the church, also in the wood on the seat ends of the choir stalls and at either end of the oak altar rail. A further example of wood carving can be seen in the magnificent reredos above the main altar and the screen at the entrance to the memorial chapel.

A large carved angel depicting various scenes from the life of our Lord stands alongside the tower door.
