Very little is known about the life of Peris. The church of St. Peris is of 14th century origin. It is of cruciform plan with transepts extended to east to form an unusual T-shaped plan. The altar is of curious design containing 17th century craftmanship, but over the years it has been repaired. Fine 15th century chamfered wooden arch-braced roof.
