The angel font.
A Victorian Gothic in Perpendicular style. It is almost cathedral-like in size and stands halfway up the hill behind the shops and houses. It was built in 1889 to accommodate the growing number of residents and visitors to the area. The original tower fell down shortly after building and was rebuilt in 1894.
The font is of interest in which a life-size angel holds up a shell in a copy of Thorwaldsen's font in Copenhagen Cathedral.
