Adfer Organ y Gadeirlan
Isod, rhestrir prif nodweddion y gwaith i adfer yr organ, sydd i’w gwblhau gan David Wells, Adeiladwyr Organ, Lerpwl. Gellir darparu rhestr dechnegol o’r gwaith, gan gynnwys rhestr o’r stopiau, os gwnewch gais. Bydd y gwaith wedi ei warantu am ugain mlynedd.
Bydd yr organ yn cael ei datgymalu. Bydd y mwyafrif o’r pibellau a’r trawfwrdd yn cael eu hanfon i’r gweithdy.
Bydd y trawfwrdd yn cael ei adfer yn llwyr gan ddefnyddio’r darnau gorau o blith yr hen rai, a rhoi cyffyrddiadau arian yn lle y rhai presennol. Ailosodir y trawfwrdd ar blatfform newydd yn y Groesfan Ogleddol.
- Transmission
- A new solid state electrical system will be installed. New PVC insulated low voltage cabling to be installed throughout
- Key actions
- All new enclosed actions. Existing enclosed actions will be thoroughly restored
- Slider actions
- Complete replacement with sliding solenoids
- Off-note, pedal, Top note & unit chests
- Restored with new electro-magnets
- Reservoirs / trunking
- Cleaned, sealed and adjusted as appropriate
- Slider soundboards
- To be overhauled and made good
- Swell boxes & engines
- The boxes to be cleaned. The engines to be cleaned shutter and repaired with new electro-magnets.
- Choir & Solo sections
- Replanned. Small Choir section on existing Solo site. The Choir section to be adapted for the Solo section. Both to be raised higher to improve projection and provide space for additional facilities e.g. disabled toilets.
- Pipework
- Pipes to be cleaned inside and out and restored. New pipework to match existing
- Site re-assembly items
- Left in situ to receive any necessary attention. Organ framework to be re-constructed and new electrical cabling installed. Pipework to be placed in position, tuned and regulated ready for playing
