Vicar for the Benefice of Rhosymedre and Ruabon

The Bishop of St Asaph is seeking to appoint an energetic and visionary priest to lead these parishes at an exciting and challenging time.

Rhosymedre parish has a very diverse population and includes five small villages. St John’s Church is undergoing transformation to enable a community outreach project within this deprived area.

Ruabon is a lively parish with a voluntary aided Church in Wales school. St Mary’s Church is a grade 1 listed building shared with a Roman Catholic congregation. It has a fine choral tradition. The small, rural community of Penylan, with its own church, is within the parish.

Within the benefice there is an NSM priest, a reader, worship leaders, Eucharistic ministers and pastoral assistants who are looking forward to working collaboratively with the new incumbent.

The benefice is situated between the county town of Wrexham and the Vale of Llangollen.

For an informal conversation regarding this role, please contact the Archdeacon of Wrexham, the Venerable Shirley Griffiths, on 01978 790362 or by email archdeacon.wrexham@churchinwales.org.uk
