The following appointments have been made by Bishop Gregory during 2011:

November 2011

Area Dean of Gresford and Minera

Revd James Harris will take on the role of Area Dean of the new united Deaneries of Gresford and Minera in the new year.

Vicar of Holywell

Revd Aidan Coleman has been appointed Vicar of Holywell and will start in March.

Vicar of Mold

Revd Rex Matthias will succeed Ian Day in Mold in the Spring.

September 2011

Vicar of Llanfair Caereinion Group

The Revd's David and Mary Dunn from the Diocese of Monmouth have been appointed to the Benefice of Llanfair Caereinion, Llanllugan and Manafon as joint priests-in-charge.

July and August 2011

Vicar of Welshpool

Revd Stephen Willson will become Vicar of the Welshpool group and joins us from the Diocese of Monmouth

Rural Life Advisor

Revd Heather Fenton has accepted the invitation to become Rural Life Advisor

Sian Sweeting-Jones has been appointed as the Bishop's new Secretary

Rector of Hawarden

Revd David Lewis will become Rector of Hawarden, he will be installed on 13 October 2011

Rector of Llanfyllin

Revd Hermione Long will become Rector of the Llanfyllin group of parishes in October and joins the Diocese from the Diocese of Monmouth

Director of Ordinands

Revd John Harvey will take over as Director of Ordinands when Revd Canon Mary Stallard begins her new role as Chaplain at St Joseph's School, Wrexham

World Mission Officer

Ros Crawford will become World Mission Officer

May 2011

Dean of St Asaph

Revd Nigel Williams has been appointed the new Dean of St Asaph to replace Chris Potter who will become Archdeacon of St Asaph. Nigel will be installed on September 17 2011

Transitional Missioner

Revd John Lomas will take charge of Parishes who are without permanent clergy to encourage them and help them develop plans for the future.

Cursal Canonry of Randulph de Birkened

Revd Robert Rowland has been appointed Cursal Canon and will be installed on 3 July 2011.

Parish of Llanwddyn

Revd Mike Keulemans has accepted pastoral charge of Llanwddyn in the Llanfyllin Group

April 2011

St Joseph's Anglican and Catholic School Chaplain

The Bishop of St Asaph is pleased to announce Mary Stallard has been appointed as the new Anglican Chaplain of St Joseph’s Anglican and Catholic School in Wrexham.

She will also serve as School Development Officer for the benefice and three deaneries of Wrexham, Gresford and Minera. Mary will be moving to her new role in the summer.

Abergele & St George

The Bishop of St. Asaph is pleased to announce the appointment of the Revd Kate Johnson, to the parishes of Abergele and St. George. Kate is presently Associate Priest in the parish of Prestatyn and the date of her induction will be announced later.

Please keep Kate, and the parishes of Abergele and St. George and the parish of Prestatyn, in your thoughts and prayers.

Bodelwyddan & Rhuddlan

The Bishop of St. Asaph is pleased to announce the appointment of the Revd Ian Day, to the parishes of Bodelwyddan and Rhuddlan. Ian is presently Vicar of Mold and his induction will be held sometime in the Autumn.

Please keep Ian and his family, and the parishes of Bodelwyddan, Rhuddlan and Mold, in your thoughts and prayers.

Area Dean, Mold

Revd Adrian Copping will succeed Ian Day as Area Dean of Mold, taking over at the Archdeacon’s Visitation to Mold Deanery in May.

Area Dean, Llanfyllin

Revd Pam Powell will become the Area Dean of Llanfyllin, taking over from Revd Michael Balkwill when he moves to his new role as Bishop's Chaplain at Esgobty in May.
