Advent Confirmation

Bishop Gregory confirms a candidate from the parish of Flint

In his sermon, the Bishop talked about St Ambrose, "one of my favourite saints", upon whose feast day the confirmation was held. Bishop Gregory said to the candidates, "Just as Ambrose stood up for justice, and sought to bear witness to the love of Jesus in his every action, so you are expected to be servants of the truth, people who bear the gospel of hope, love and forgiveness to the community."

Seventy-three candidates were confirmed, from Bagillt, the Bro Famau group, Flint, Holywell, Llanasa, Mold, Rhosesmor, Rhos-Cystennin, Rhyl, Ruthin, Trefnant, Whitford and Ysceifiog, and one candidate was received into the Anglican Church from the Roman Catholic Church. A presentation was also made to Lynn Fearnhead for 22 years of service as a youth leader in the Halkyn mountain group of parishes.
