TV Cameras at Cathedral in Jubilee week
St Asaph Cathedral will host Gethin Jones (pictured) from ITV1’s Daybreak programme in the week leading up to the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
The breakfast TV show is going on a “Jubilee Jamboree” around the UK ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend. Daybreak has chosen to stop off at the Cathedral after St Asaph was given City status as part of the Jubilee celebrations.
There will be special guests, children’s entertainment and a choir performance when the TV cameras roll into the City on Tuesday 29 May.
A spokesperson for ITV1 said:
“This will be Gethin’s only Welsh stop on his ‘Jubilee Jamboree’ Royal tour of Great Britain, so we want you to come out and do the country proud.
“Feel free to dress up in any jubilee attire if you so wish, wave your flags and enjoy a royal-themed knees-up on TV!”
Daybreak will be filming at St Asaph Cathedral on the morning of Tuesday 29 May 2012. Anyone who wishes to be part of the Jubilee Jamboree should arrive at the Cathedral between 6.20am and 6.30am.
