Supporting Initiative in Ministry Fund

Has your parish got big plans for new ways to minister to the community but isn’t sure where to find the money? Help is at hand.

The Diocesan Board of Finance (DBF) in St Asaph have set aside £50,000 a year for the next three years to fund projects that help you share the Good News of Christ with people in new and creative ways.

The money could help you employ a new member of staff to minister to groups you haven’t been able to effectively reach in the past. In other words, this grant could help your parish vision to become a reality.

Parishes are being encouraged to apply for funding if their work will grow disciples for the future and reach out to the neediest areas of the community in new and creative ways.

The DBF will consider all applications but this “Ministry Fund” is about new initiatives in church or parish growth, not supporting what is already in place. It’s about offering money to fund a salary, not a building project.

Parishes interested in applying can download the application form here.

There are two deadlines this year – 22 August and 17 October.
