Exploring Faith

Do you want to know more about the Christian Faith and the teachings of the church but you’re not sure where to start?
Help is at hand with a new foundation year in Exploring Faith which is designed to help local churches and church members to consider ministry and mission.
The Background
Exploring Faith has been run for many years in Bangor Diocese and now St Asaph (with the help of the St Mary’s and St Giles’ Trust Wrexham, and St Michael’s College Llandaff) is organising its own version directed by Revd Manon Ceridwen Parry. It offers two streams, a foundation year and a three year course.
The foundation year covers topics including “Faith, the Church and the Future”, “Introduction to Theology” and “This is our Calling” and is designed to be used within parishes, benefices or deaneries to help churches discern their needs in mission and ministry. After this foundation year, individuals or groups may well want to continue with the course in order to be equipped for lay and ordained ministries.
The three year further study course can be accredited by Glyndwr University in Wrexham. It is designed for those who want to learn more about theology, as well as those who are training for specific ministries.
Parishes or deaneries who are interested in the foundation year should contact Manon by email or on 01492 516728.
