A vicar is inviting people to join him in a pub for a refreshing look at the 10 Commandments.

Revd Richard Spencer will be taking a modern look at oldest rules in the book at one of the pubs in the centre of his parish. And he hopes to tempt non-church-goers as well as regular members to join him.
There will be plenty of opportunity for them to take part, says Richard who is priest-in-charge of Christ Church, Roath. They’ll be there for 10 weeks in the run-up to Easter, which includes the six-weeks of Lent.
He says, “Lent this year is starting early in Roath and appropriately, for this season of refreshment, we’re introducing a ‘Fresh Expression’ of Church to the area. We’ve signed up to J.John's 'Just 10' course - a lively and informal look at the 10 Commandments for today. It’s a new venture for us and there’ll be a warm welcome for everyone who wants to join in.”
Judith Hill, the Parish Administrator said, 'As we viewed the materials, we were suddenly struck by the idea of launching the project in the Discovery pub, in the middle of the parish. The landlord has given us free use of the function suite for the ten weeks we need and we're ready to go.'
You can join Richard and his team at the Discovery pub, Celyn Avenue for 10 Sundays from 5/2 at 7.30pm. For more information, please call 02920757190
